Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: TrayTime at 4.1 against TrayWise's 1.0. TrayTime also leads on ratings volume (40 vs 1) and iOS requirement (10.3 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TrayTime sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and TrayWise sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
TrayTime holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TrayTime has 40 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
TrayTime ships an update every 5 weeks, TrayWise every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
