The most advanced Health and Fitness application in the world. Python PTS (Performance Training System) uses haptic and audio feedback patterns to keep users aware of the current time during their workouts, therefore removing the need for users to have to LOOK at the time. This is a groundbreaking feature that has forever changed the way training is done for swimmers, runners, weight lifters, and more. Python PTS is also baked with intelligence, and randomly speeds up its timer to keep users training harder. Users can choose from four difficulties to determine how fast their PTS timer will push them, or can opt to have regular speed. Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Python PTS at free against RUN interval's free with in-app purchases. Python PTS also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 77%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). RUN interval's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 9). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Python PTS sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and RUN interval sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Python PTS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RUN interval has 1K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Python PTS's written reviews are positive against 77% of RUN interval's.
Python PTS ships an update every 3 weeks, RUN interval every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
