Both are free to download. Openly for Chrome & Firefox sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year. Web Browser + asks for nothing beyond the download.
Openly for Chrome & Firefox holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Openly for Chrome & Firefox has 216 ratings behind it against 37, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Web Browser +'s written reviews are positive against 44% of Openly for Chrome & Firefox's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
