The PIEL Survey App is designed to gather survey data from people in their daily lives. It is NOT a money earning app. Surveys are imported from a Control file which is a text file provided by the researcher. For details on how to create and distribute a new survey, please see our website. This app is ideal for "in the moment" data gathering, also known as Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) or Experience Sampling Management (ESM). This allows a more complete understanding of a participant's thoughts and feelings than traditional survey methods. Key features: - Currently there are 4 question types; list, checkbox, slider and free text. - Questions can also be made to branch to different questions. - Schedules can be fixed, random or semi-random. - The surveys will run even when an internet connection is not present. - Users can swipe between questions. - No internet connection is required during the running of a survey.
Imaging Stress Task

Easily test the impact of time pressure and performance-related stress using adaptive math questions. The task consists of a practice phase, followed by a control phase and an experimental stress phase. After completion, results are displayed as binary values (1 = correct response, 0 = incorrect response), allowing for straightforward export and analysis in Excel or other statistical software. This app is inspired by the Montreal Imaging Stress Task (MIST) protocol as described in: Dedovic, K., Renwick, R., Mahani, N. K., Engert, V., Lupien, S. J., & Pruessner, J. C. (2005). The Montreal Imaging Stress Task: Using functional imaging to investigate the effects of perceiving and processing psychosocial stress in the human brain. Journal of Psychiatry & Neuroscience, 30(5), 319–325. This application is an independent implementation inspired by the original research and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the original authors.
