There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature — the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.” —Rachel Carson, Silent Spring Serenes™ Lite is an app designed to bring a bit of the beauty of the natural world into your daily life. It’s a combination of tranquil “moving picture” scenes, along with the ambient nature sounds that go along with them. The pictures allow you a window into nature that’s not overly distracting to your day, while the sounds fill your spaces with waterfalls, oceans and thunderstorms. If you would prefer a version without ads, please purchase the full version of Serenes™. Features: - There are eight sound sets initially available, with 30 other sets that become active the longer you use the app - Sets include rivers, streams, waterfalls, seascapes, thunderstorms, forests, night scenes, a crackling fire, birdsongs, and more - Beautiful “moving picture” scenes for each set, with unique portrait and landscape versions - Ambient stereo sounds recorded at the sites - A sleep timer that lets you fall asleep to the set of your choice - Alarm feature lets you wake up to your choice of nature sounds - An option to display a clock in the corners of the screens - Editor allows you to adjust the sounds in individual sets Use it to improve your quality of sleep, create a peaceful work environment, support your meditations, increase your concentration, or simply bring nature into any of your life’s places.

A living window you own. On the far side of the glass it's storming — real droplets bead, grow heavy, and race down the pane, wandering and snagging like the real thing. On your side there's a wooden frame, a warm lamp, and nowhere you need to be. Touch the glass and wipe it clean; the rain takes it back. Lightning flickers far away, and the thunder arrives late, soft and rolling, the way it does when the storm is somewhere else. A STORM THAT BREATHES No loops. Your storm swells into a squall, eases into steady rain, settles into a hush — over real minutes, on its own weather. Close the app tonight and it resumes exactly mid-breath tomorrow. The sky beyond the glass follows your real clock: dawn, grey day, dusk, night. NEVER HARSH Every sound is kept soft on purpose — rain with the clatter taken out, thunder that impresses without startling. Made for sleeping, reading, and studying next to. YOUR WINDOW REMEMBERS The sill book keeps a quiet diary: "an evening squall rolled in," "a soft hush settled." Days kept watch, storms witnessed. A sleep timer dims the pane and fades the sound — touching the glass brings the room gently back. FOUR ROOMS The nook is yours forever — warm oak and a potted plant. Supporters open the cabin (firelight that breathes, a steaming mug), the attic (candlelight and old books), and the library (a lamp over a shelf of spines). OUR PROMISES • Zero ads. Ever. • No notifications, no streaks, no guilt. The window just waits. • Nothing is collected. Not even analytics. • Free forever. One optional unlock (three extra rooms), cosmetic only, yours for good. For everyone who ever fell asleep to a rain video and wished they could touch the glass.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Serenes Lite at none against Stormsill's 1. Serenes Lite also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
