Both are free to download. Death 3d sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Retro Combat sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Death 3d holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Retro Combat has 98 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Death 3d's written reviews are positive against 81% of Retro Combat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Death 3d ships an update every 2 months, Retro Combat every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
