BB Score Keeper vs BatterUp Scorebook

The Little League scoreboard never works. Now you can keep track of the game with your phone. BB Score Keeper is the simplest baseball scorekeeper ever made. No complicated stat sheets. No confusing menus. No subscriptions. Just tap and play. HOW IT WORKS - Tap the ball button 4 times - runner walks to first base - Tap the strike button 3 times - out count goes up - Touch home plate - score increases for the team at bat - After 3 outs - inning changes and the other team comes up to bat That's the whole app. Values advance automatically so you can keep your eyes on the field instead of fumbling with your phone between pitches. PERFECT FOR - Parents in the stands when the dugout scoreboard is broken (again) - Coaches who need a quick way to track the count - Grandparents following along from the bleachers - Backyard games with the kids - T-ball, coach pitch, Little League, travel ball, softball, and pickup games - Anyone tired of losing track of balls, strikes, outs, and runs WHY PEOPLE LOVE IT - One-handed operation - tap with your thumb while you cheer - Big, easy-to-read numbers visible from across the bleachers - No accounts, no logins, no spam - Works without internet - perfect for fields with no signal - Built for the chaos of youth baseball, where the scoreboard is held together with duct tape - Lightweight and fast - opens instantly when the first pitch is thrown WHO IT'S FOR Every parent who's ever asked "what inning are we in?" and gotten three different answers from the row in front of them. Every coach who needed a clipboard but only brought a phone. Every kid who wants to play umpire in the backyard. If your league's scoreboard works perfectly, you don't need this app. If it's like every Little League scoreboard ever built - sometimes on, sometimes off, sometimes stuck on the third inning from last Saturday - then BB Score Keeper has your back. GREAT FOR - Little League and Cal Ripken games - T-ball and coach pitch - Pony League, USSSA, AAU, and travel ball tournaments - High school and middle school games - Softball - fast pitch and slow pitch - Wiffle ball and backyard pickup games - Practice scrimmages EASY ENOUGH FOR KIDS The interface is so simple that kids can run the score themselves. Hand the phone to a sibling and let them be the official scorekeeper for the day. Big buttons. No typing. No setup screens to wade through. PICTURE THIS You walk up to the field. The scoreboard reads "0 - 0, top of the 1st" and has read that way for forty-five minutes. The other coach swears it's the bottom of the third. You pull out your phone, open BB Score Keeper, and the argument is over. HOW IT'S DIFFERENT Other baseball apps want lineups, batting orders, jersey numbers, subscriptions, and your email. By the time you're set up, your kid has struck out twice. BB Score Keeper does one thing: it keeps the score. NO NONSENSE - No ads blocking the buttons - No subscriptions - No accounts to create - No premium features hiding behind paywalls - No data tracking - Just a scorekeeper that works Open it. Start tapping. The game keeps moving. You're scoring from the dugout while your own kid is at bat. BatterUp Scorebook is built for that moment, by a coach who's been there. BatterUp Scorebook is a live game scorebook for assistant and head coaches of youth baseball and softball rec teams. Speed and forgiveness beat completeness. Common at-bat outcomes take two taps. Common base advances take one. There's a big visible undo, always available, with no "are you sure?" prompts to slow you down mid-play. Every design choice is for the dugout: glove-friendly tap targets, sunlight-readable contrast, dark mode for evening games at lit fields, and a continuous batting order so every kid bats every inning regardless of defensive subs. What it does: • Live at-bat scoring with two-tap outcomes (Single, Double, Triple, HR, BB, K, groundout, flyout, ROE, FC, HBP, SF) • Continuous batting order, the rec-league default • Free defensive substitution: any player, any position, any inning • Stolen bases, passed balls, wild pitches, errors. One tap on the runner • Big undo for everything during live play • Game recap shared by text or email when the last out is recorded • Stored locally on your phone. No account needed, no data leaves your device What it's NOT: BatterUp Scorebook is not a fantasy-baseball stats engine. It doesn't rank kids, run leaderboards, or push social features. There are no achievements, no notifications begging you to come back, no signup wall, no analytics. Just a clean record of the game. Scored fast, shared simply. Made by a volunteer coach, for volunteer coaches. The tools we needed didn't exist, so we built them.
