Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: BibliMags at 63% against Alaska's 10%. BibliMags also leads on ratings volume (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). Alaska's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Alaska holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of BibliMags's written reviews are positive against 10% of Alaska's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
BibliMags ships an update every 2 months, Alaska every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
