Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: LibTerm at none against SQLPro Studio's 7. LibTerm also leads on ratings volume (802 vs 63) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). SQLPro Studio's advantage is chart position (#87 vs unranked) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 8 days). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SQLPro Studio sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $10.99 per month. LibTerm asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

LibTerm holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LibTerm has 802 ratings behind it against 63, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of SQLPro Studio's written reviews are positive against 70% of LibTerm's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

SQLPro Studio ships an update every 4 days, LibTerm every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
