AstroIQ is a session-planning tool for astrophotographers. It helps you decide when and where to shoot, what to point at, and how your target will frame up — before you set up in the cold and dark. WHAT ASTROIQ DOES Sky Quality Scoring AstroIQ assesses the conditions that matter for imaging — moon phase and illumination, atmospheric transparency, and sky darkness — and combines them into a clear score for your location and time. Narrowband imagers can bypass moon-related penalties, since bright-moon nights are still workable through narrowband filters. Framing Previews See how a deep-sky target will fit your setup. Enter your telescope and camera, and AstroIQ calculates the true field of view and shows whether your target fits, fills, or overflows the frame — with an accurate on-screen preview. Deep-Sky Catalogue Browse a catalogue of 3,118 deep-sky targets with the details that help you plan: type, constellation, size, and magnitude. Your Gear, Your Way Store multiple equipment setups — telescopes, cameras, and named configurations — and switch between them as you plan. Weather Built In AstroIQ pulls local weather and cloud forecasts so you can see whether tonight is worth the drive. PRIVACY & DESIGN AstroIQ works without an account. Your gear, locations, photos, and preferences stay on your device. Location is used only to calculate sky conditions for where you are, and is never linked to your identity. SUBSCRIPTION AstroIQ offers a 7-day free trial. After the trial, a subscription is required to continue using premium features. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and can be managed or cancelled in your App Store settings. Weather data powered by Open-Meteo.
