ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Xenowerk Tactics holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Xenowerk Tactics has 341 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Retro Commander's written reviews are positive against 76% of Xenowerk Tactics's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Retro Commander ships an update every 2 months, Xenowerk Tactics every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
