Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Clock at none against The Analog Clock's 3. Clock also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (84% vs 55%). The Analog Clock's advantage is ratings volume (2.3K vs 152). On price, rating, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Analog Clock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Clock asks for nothing beyond the download.
The Analog Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Analog Clock has 2.3K ratings behind it against 152, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Clock's written reviews are positive against 55% of The Analog Clock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Clock ships an update every 12 months, The Analog Clock every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
