Starting solids is a big milestone, and it can feel like everyone has a different opinion. We're Starting Solids Australia — paediatric dietitians who are also mums — and this app is everything we'd tell a friend, in one place. TRACK EVERY FOOD BUB TRIES Tick off foods as you go, across vegetables, fruit, grains, meat and fish, meat-free proteins, dairy and flavours. See at a glance what you've covered and what to try next. Record whether bub loved it or pushed it away, and add a note for next time — "cut into strips", "better mixed with yoghurt". Keep a separate record for each child, so nothing gets muddled. WORK THROUGH THE NINE COMMON ALLERGENS Egg, peanut, tree nuts, cow's milk, wheat, soy, sesame, fish and shellfish — tracked properly, with the number of exposures and space to note how bub went. Based on current Australian guidelines, not the old ones. PLAN THE WEEK Breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack for every day. Pull in recipes from our Library, or paste a link to anything you've found elsewhere. Add a note under any meal for how you'll change it for bub. Jot down the new foods you want to introduce and what you need to prep. HUNDREDS OF DIETITIAN-WRITTEN RECIPES Filter by age, texture and meal type. Every recipe includes how to serve it safely at your baby's stage, what to watch for, and how to store leftovers. HOW TO SERVE ANYTHING From avocado to whole nuts — the size, the shape and the texture that's right for your baby's age, so you can feel confident at the highchair. A DIETITIAN IN YOUR POCKET Starting Solids Library members can ask our paediatric dietitians anything in the members community and get a real answer about their own baby. Members also get our monthly live workshop, the Starting Solids Crash Course, and every recipe and guide we've written. SHOP THE GEAR THAT GOES WITH IT Suction bowls, first spoons, open cups, freezer trays — designed by a paediatric dietitian for how babies actually learn to eat. Free shipping over $99. FREE TO DOWNLOAD The food tracker, the meal planner and a good number of recipes and guides are free. The Starting Solids Library is an optional subscription at $25 per month or $75 for six months, with a 7-day free trial. It unlocks every recipe and guide, the Crash Course, the monthly workshop and the members community. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel yours in your account settings at any time.
