Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Wow! Stuff Light Painting at 100% against Simple RAW Camera's 55%. Wow! Stuff Light Painting also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). Simple RAW Camera's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.8) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 10 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple RAW Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Wow! Stuff Light Painting asks for nothing beyond the download.
Simple RAW Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple RAW Camera has 83 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Simple RAW Camera's written reviews are positive against 100% of Wow! Stuff Light Painting's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Simple RAW Camera ships an update every 2 months, Wow! Stuff Light Painting every 10 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
