A passage chosen for today. Commentary that explains the context, the theology, and how to live it. A quiet space to reflect, journal, and return. Vesper is a daily companion for reading scripture slowly. No accounts, no feeds, no noise — just the text, the light of your hour, and room to sit with it. A daily passage, with depth Each day opens with a verse selected for the season and the moment. Tap through to the full chapter, expand the commentary, or begin a guided reflection that walks you from passage to journal in a few unhurried minutes. Commentary that earns its place For every passage: historical context, theological reflection, and practical application. Drawn from public-domain works including Matthew Henry's commentary and Strong's concordance, edited for clarity rather than length. Reading plans that build the habit Thematic plans on grief, comfort, the Sermon on the Mount, the women of scripture, and the seasons of the church year. Pick one, follow the streak, return tomorrow. Filtered to your tradition Choose Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, Evangelical, Non-denominational, or other — and the commentary you see first respects where you read from. No tradition is hidden; nothing is forced. Five translations, four languages Read in English (WEB, KJV), Spanish (Reina-Valera 1909), Portuguese (Almeida Revista e Corrigida), or Italian (Riveduta). Switch translations as you study. Light that moves with the day The sky behind every passage shifts through dawn, morning, midday, afternoon, dusk, evening, and night — a small reminder that scripture meets you in the hour you actually live in. Share what stays with you Verses you want to remember can be shared as Story or Square images, set against any of six skies. Beautiful enough to actually post. Privacy that isn't an afterthought No sign-in. No account. No server holding your reading history or your journal. Everything stays on your device. iCloud Backup keeps your reflections safe across your own devices, in your own iCloud — never ours. Vesper Plus A 7-day free trial unlocks the full experience.
