Asteroid Blasteroid vs METEORIC

A simple shoot-em-up space game. Your space ship needs a constant supply of power crystals to keep running. Shoot the asteroids to discover hidden power crystals. Watch out for enemies, they shoot back! Made for Corona Defold Jam and based on Ludum Dare 39 theme "Running Out Of Power".

The playing field consists of your spaceship, floating meteoroids, and the occasional UFO taking shots at you. You control the spaceship to avoid collisions and to blast obstacles. You start with 3 spaceships. Bonus ships are awarded at progressive score thresholds, and for successfully destroying a UFO. When you start the game, your spaceship will be in the middle of the screen. Heading toward your ship will be anywhere from 4 to 6 large meteoroids. Your job is to blast those rocks. However, when you blast them, they break up into 2 medium rocks. Blasting a medium rock gives you 2 small rocks. In addition, you have to contend with random UFO attacks. FEATURES: - Touch controls: drag to steer and thrust, tap the right side of the screen to fire. - Optional Bluetooth game controller support (tested with wireless/BT Xbox controllers). - Smart Bomb: clear the screen of asteroids and the UFO in a pinch (limited charges per game). - Adjustable difficulty -- Easy, Normal, or Hard -- from the in-game Settings menu. - Bonus ships awarded for score thresholds met, and for destroying UFOs. - Persistent high score tracking, with the option to reset it anytime from Settings. - Optional Remove Ads purchase for an uninterrupted, ad-free experience.
