The RoboMaker® kit was created to guide you on an educational journey to introduce you to robotics, logical thinking and coding. By using the 250 and more interchangeable components present in the box, you can build 5 different robots with growing levels of complexity and then programme them in a fun way through this free application. The RoboMaker® app communicates with the robots via Bluetooth® Low Energy and contains 4 different sections, each with their own specific and engaging functions: 1- BUILD In this section the 5 robot models can be reconstructed in 3D, piece-by-piece, in a dynamic and animated way. Whenever you add a new component, you can even enlarge/shrink it and rotate the model by 360° to understand how to connect the various modules. 2- LEARN The Learn section illustrates the basic programming concepts through 10 guided activities (2 for each robot model); which can be completed by creating specific command sequences using the Clementoni block-based programming. 3- CREATE Once you have learnt the basic programming concepts and have familiarised with our block-based programming, you can juggle around with the options in the Create section. In this area, after building a robot of any shape, you can programme it as you prefer. In this case, the activity is performed freely, therefore the app will not signal whether or not you have entered the sequence correctly, so you will have to realise by yourself whether the result meets your objective. 4- CONTROL The Control mode does not entail the use of block-based programming. Through this mode it is possible to control and command in real time the 5 robot models proposed. Each command you send will be executed instantly by the robot, without any delay. Given that the 5 robots are different in terms of both the electronic components used and their functions, there is a specific control page for each one of them. So, what are you waiting for? Enter the RoboMaker® world, step in the programmer’s boots and start this engaging and formative adventure!

Zoom from a planet's surface out to distant galaxies, then reshape the whole system with your own hands. Solar System Sim is a real-time gravity sandbox built on Newton's laws and real astronomical data. Every body you add, move or destroy recalculates the orbits of everything else, live. • Smash worlds together: impact craters carve into the surface, firestorms sweep the globe, and glowing debris rains back down. • Build your own universe: add planets, moons, asteroids and comets with their own size, mass and looks, or customise the ones already there. • Land anywhere: drop to a first-person view on any planet's surface and experience its environment. • Sculpt rings: add particle rings and watch gravity shape them in real time. • Witness real eclipses: solar and lunar, with real-world astronomical precision. • Follow comets: watch them streak past and interact with the bodies they meet. • Leave the Solar System: travel to remarkable nearby stars and find them within the Milky Way. • Feel the scale: see the true vastness of space, from a pebble-sized moon to the nearest galaxies. Whether you're here to learn how gravity really works or just to break planets with it, explore at your own pace. Start your cosmic adventure with Solar System Sim.

Verdict
Robomaker® and Solar System Sim both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 80% of Solar System Sim's written reviews are positive against 22% of Robomaker®'s. Solar System Sim also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 weeks) and ratings volume (4.3K vs 4). Robomaker®'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ads (none vs shown). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Solar System Sim sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Robomaker® asks for nothing beyond the download.
Solar System Sim holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Solar System Sim has 4.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 22% of Robomaker®'s written reviews are positive against 80% of Solar System Sim's.
Robomaker® ships an update every 4 weeks, Solar System Sim every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
