Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Secluded at none against Superlocal's 14. Secluded also leads on review sentiment (51% vs 24%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.5). Superlocal's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.2 vs 3.9). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Superlocal sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 7 days. Secluded asks for nothing beyond the download.
Superlocal holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Superlocal has 3.1K ratings behind it against 336, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of Superlocal's written reviews are positive against 51% of Secluded's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Superlocal ships an update every 6 days, Secluded every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
