Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: The Big 1050 WTKA at 3.4 against CFBPlayoff's 2.3. The Big 1050 WTKA also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). CFBPlayoff's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
The Big 1050 WTKA holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CFBPlayoff has 139 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 6% of CFBPlayoff's written reviews are positive against 0% of The Big 1050 WTKA's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
CFBPlayoff ships an update every 2 months, The Big 1050 WTKA every 5 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
