Open Channel Analysis plus
Read full descriptionHide full description
App allows for a quick analysis of various open channel configurations in either english or metric units. A flow can be entered or calulated using the built in flow estimator. Flows can be calculated using the rational method with supplied intensities for Florida, Texas and NOAA data. Intensity can also be entered manually to compute runoff rates. Flows also can be computed using the Santa Barbara or SCS Unit hydrographic methods. Various channel configurations can be selected and analyzed for normal depth and critical depth. Backwater computations can also be performed for a specified distance along the channel given a starting depth. The backwater profile is computed using the direct step methodology for profile computations. All hydraulic calculations are based on the manning's equations. Feel free to email me if you have any questions regarding the company or the applications we produce. The main goal of this software is to allow individuals to be able to make more accurate estimates of deign conditions whether in the field, a meeting or in the office. So by the time you start finalizing a design , you will already have a head start the hydraulic constraints for your specific project.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ⢠Open .inp files from Files, Mail, AirDrop or cloud storage ⢠Run a hydraulic simulation and step through the time periods ⢠See the network on an interactive map: zoom, pan, touch and hold any node to see its data ⢠Read pressure, head, demand, flow, velocity and headloss for junctions, pipes, pumps, tanks, reservoirs and valves ⢠Review hydraulic and time options ⢠Works offline. Your files stay on your device EDIT IN FLOWANALYZER Tap "Edit & simulate in FlowAnalyzer" on the network screen to send the network to FlowAnalyzer (if installed) to edit it. If FlowAnalyzer is not installed, its App Store page opens inside the viewer. The two apps are separate. They use different EPANET engine versions (2.2 and 2.3.5); results may differ.
