MARRS vs Oscillators
Price, ratings, monetisation and update history for both apps, side by side β with what reviewers say about each.
MARRS
This application simulates microphone arrays for sound localization prediction. It offers an object-based workflow to configure microphone setups and predict perceived sound source positions based on psychoacoustic models. The tool also automatically configures arrays for desired spatial scenes, considering microphone height and vertical orientation.

MARRS (Microphone Array Recording and Reproduction Simulator) provides an interactive, object-based workflow and graphical user interface for localisation prediction and microphone array configuration. It allows the user to predict the perceived positions of multiple sound sources for a given microphone configuration based on psychoacoustic time-level trade-off functions. The tool can also automatically configure suitable microphone arrays for the userβs desired spatial scene in reproduction. Furthermore, MARRS overcomes some of the limitations of existing microphone array simulation tools by considering a microphone height and vertical orientation.
Oscillators

Oscillators offers educational tools for experimenting with digital resonators. In particular, it demonstrates the use of the Resonate algorithm for efficient, high temporal and frequency resolution spectral analysis of audio signals. This app especially encourages live experimentation with microphone input.

Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Oscillators at every 4 months against MARRS's every 14 months. MARRS's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
