Chess64 is a checkmate trainer. The puzzles never ask you for the best move, only for the forced one: every one ends in mate, and the whole difficulty is how deep the line runs and whether you can see all of it before you touch a piece. WHAT YOU GET • Eight depths, from a one-move mate to the long forcing lines of mate in 8+. 400k+ puzzles, completely offline, 50,000 at every depth. Each one is generated for this app and verified by a chess engine: the mate is forced, at exactly the depth stated. • Spaced-repetition training. A puzzle you have solved comes back at growing intervals, timed to reach you just before the pattern would have faded. You set how many new puzzles and reviews a day. Beside it, a library of openings and their traps. Every trap line is proved by a chess engine, and drilling one joins the same review queue. • Five bots to play against, each with a style of its own. Win enough recent games against one and the app says whether the next one up is a fair fight. Afterwards the review analyses the game: the tactics that were there, which of them you found, and the move you missed. • A coach. It reads your games, puzzles and drills and writes what to work on next: five areas, over any period, by the AI model on your phone. Nothing leaves it. It needs iOS 26; everything else works on iOS 17. • Pass and play: two people, one device, and no engine in the middle. Free. Turn the whole board between moves, or only the black pieces. Play with a clock or without, and start a piece up or down. These games never touch your record or statistics. • New to chess? A free beginner guide on the home screen starts at the very beginning. • A daily puzzle: the same mate in 3 for everyone, every day. • A timed challenge: as many as you can before the clock runs out. • Statistics that keep accuracy and solve rate apart instead of blurring them, plus an activity calendar, results by depth and time-of-day performance. Export it all as CSV (Pro). WHAT IT DOES NOT DO No ads. No tracking, no analytics, no third-party data collection of any kind. No account, no sign-in, no email address. FREE AND PRO Free covers mate in 1 and mate in 2, with 5,000 puzzles at each, plus the daily puzzle, full games against the first two bots, pass and play, streaks, badges, core statistics and the streak widget. No ads and no time limits. Chess64 Pro unlocks the other three bots and the review that follows a game, the coach's analysis, mate in 3 to 8+ with the full 50,000 puzzles at every depth, a difficulty filter from Beginner to Master, the timed challenge, spaced-repetition training, the openings library and its traps, hints, full statistics with CSV export, and the medium widget. Later updates are included. YOUR DATA There are no Chess64 servers. Your progress backs up to your own private iCloud, comes back when you sign in on a new device, and syncs without passing through anything in between. Turn iCloud off, or use no iCloud account at all, and Chess64 works the same way it always does; your progress simply stays on the one device. Every puzzle ships inside the app and the bots think on your device, so you can play with no connection at all. SUBSCRIPTION Chess64 Pro is an auto-renewable subscription in two lengths: Monthly (a rolling one-month subscription) and Annual (a one-year subscription). The free version of the app stays free to use. Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store in your local currency. New subscribers to the Annual plan start with a 7-day free trial; payment is charged to your Apple ID when it ends, or at confirmation of purchase when there is no trial. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel any time in your App Store account settings. Terms of Use: https://chess64.app/terms Privacy Policy: https://chess64.app/privacy
