The AirJourney document viewer app is for private plane pilots who signup for escorted flying journeys organized by Air Journey. Pilots and co-pilots are provided with login information to the application for use on their iPhone and iPad. Air Journey staff uploads and assigns the trip document(s) (flight plans, customs & clearance, navigation, visa, weather reports etc) to pilots/co-pilots for their trip in a document management portal server. The server sends APNS push notifications to the registered users who have downloaded the application and logged in. The Air Journey app downloads documents on receiving push notifications in the background. The documents are saved locally on the device. The app is developed for use in airplane (offline) mode.
