PomoLite is a Pomodoro timer that seamlessly integrates the popular "Pomodoro Technique" with a focus on designed scenes. Unlike most Pomodoro tools that use tags to set the focus environment, PomoLite employs scenes. We believe scenes provide a clearer context for your focus sessions, while tags serve more as records and should be secondary. This design choice is why PomoLite's homepage starts with scene selection before moving to the focus page, aligning with intuitive user behavior. PomoLite adheres to a minimalist design philosophy, ensuring that every development decision enhances user experience, providing an efficient and effortless tool. ### Features Although PomoLite is a newly launched Pomodoro tool with some features still in development, it already functions as a comprehensive Pomodoro timer. Users can create new scenes, set focus times as needed, and PomoLite will record your focus data, displaying it in insightful charts. Importantly, all data is stored locally on the user's device and automatically synced with iCloud. Planned features include: 1. Stopwatch functionality 2. App whitelist 3. Home screen widgets, Dynamic Island, Live Activities, etc. 4. Apple Watch support 5. Secondary tags 6. The call

The clearest difference is price: PomoLite at Free against Schichter's $5.99. PomoLite also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 weeks). On review sentiment, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

PomoLite holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of Schichter's written reviews are positive against 90% of PomoLite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Schichter ships an update every 6 weeks, PomoLite every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
