Sundial 3D Science Experiment

Explore the principles of timekeeping with an augmented reality sundial. Place a virtual sundial, adjust the sun's position, and observe how shadows indicate the time. Experiment with different latitudes and directions to understand its functionality.

Highlights
  • Augmented reality sundial placement
  • Adjustable sun position
  • Shadow observation for time
  • Latitude selection
  • Direction adjustment
  • Sundial disk calibration

Thousands of years ago, human invented many kinds of instrument to tell time. One of those is sundial, an instrument showing time by its shadow. With this app, you can do sundial experiment. First, place an Equatorial Sundial on any flat surface with AR technology. Then edit the position of sun, finally check the shadow. You can understand how a sundial works. # You can select different latitude, change direction, and even do calibration on the sundial disk.
