Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Jami at every 3 weeks against Snikket's every 7 months. Jami also leads on ratings volume (91 vs 18). Snikket's advantage is review sentiment (64% vs 41%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Jami holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jami has 91 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Jami's written reviews are positive against 64% of Snikket's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Jami ships an update every 3 weeks, Snikket every 7 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
