This game is about space explorations, its about building your own rocket, and going out to explore and see whats out there, all while following real life physics. • Realistically scaled universe, with planets up to hundreds of kilometers in size and millions of kilometers of space between them. • Realistic orbital mechanics • Open universe, if you see something in the distance, you can go there, no limits, no invisible walls. Current planets: Mercury. Venus. Earth. Moon. Mars. Phobos. Deimos.
Lunar Orbit
Guide an asteroid containing life-creating elements to inhabitable planets by manipulating gravity and using black holes. Navigate through space, avoid obstacles, and create new galaxies.
- Physics-based space simulation
- Gravity manipulation
- Black hole navigation
- Obstacle avoidance
- Galaxy creation
- Multiplayer galaxy building

Lunar Orbit is a game that will show you how easy and simple physics works in the space! You control the asteroid. It contains elements that can create life when they interact with water. Guide the asteroid to blue planets to inhabit them. Gravity! Use red planets to adjust the asteroid’s movement. Gravity fields of such planets are very strong! Use them to change the direction of the asteroid. Go around the obstacles and hit the target. But don’t fly to close to the red planet because gravity will drag you in and you will lose a life. Black holes! Sometimes you’ll not be able to go around the obstacles that you see on your way. Use Black Holes! As you enter one of them, you will instantly come out from another. Your speed and direction after the jump will remain the same. Calculate your trajectory smartly and choose the right Black Hole as an entrance. Obstacles Sometimes asteroid belts and other space junk will block your way to the blue planet. If your asteroid collides with them it’ll be destroyed and you’ll lose the chance to create life on the planet. Do your best to avoid them. Join other players from all over the world and create your own unique galaxy.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Lunar Orbit at none against Spaceflight Simulator's 11. Lunar Orbit also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Spaceflight Simulator's advantage is ratings volume (98K vs 2) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Spaceflight Simulator sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Lunar Orbit asks for nothing beyond the download.
Lunar Orbit holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spaceflight Simulator has 98K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Spaceflight Simulator's written reviews are positive against 75% of Lunar Orbit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Spaceflight Simulator ships an update every 9 days, Lunar Orbit every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
