No more illegal or invalid scrambles! This includes WCA-complient random state 4x4 scrambles and rotations for blind scrambles. Not only do we have well-refined session support, we also have different session types, suiting all your solving needs. Special sessions include multiphase – where you can time phases during solves, and comp sim – where you can simulate competitions at home. Aside from showing you basic statistics, we provide detailed (and of course - beautiful) graphs and visuals, to allow you to gain a better understanding of your solving performance. We also provide you tools, all within one app – so don't need to clutter your phone with many single-featured apps! Tools include an average calculator, a batch scramble generator and more.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CubeTime at none against Duel's 1. CubeTime also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (319 vs 49). Duel's advantage is iOS requirement (12.1 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Duel sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. CubeTime asks for nothing beyond the download.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Duel against 4.7 for CubeTime. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CubeTime has 319 ratings behind it against 49, so its average is the more settled of the two. Duel ships an update every 4 months, CubeTime every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
