Do you constantly forget passwords? Have you reused the same password across all your accounts? Have you lost track of which devices your accounts are logged into? These habits can put your data security at risk. iPass is a tool designed to help you securely store account passwords (including 2FA codes), credit card details, and account login history. It also automatically fills in login credentials, so you never waste time typing manually again. Additionally, iPass can generate stronger, more secure passwords for each account to boost protection. Key Features: • Customizable Groups: Organize accounts into personalized categories (e.g., work, social, financial) to streamline management. • Custom Attributes: Add and define unique fields beyond default details to store any account-specific information you need (e.g., security questions, authorization codes). • Cross-Device Sync: Enter data once, then access it seamlessly across all your iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac). • Auto-Fill: Instantly populate login credentials to skip time-consuming manual entry. • 2FA Support: Securely store and access 2FA codes alongside your passwords. • Login History: Track all devices that have accessed your accounts, making it easy to review and remove unauthorized or outdated sessions. Pricing: iPass uses a one-time purchase model—pay once, use it forever, with no subscriptions or hidden fees. Privacy & Security: • User-Level Protection: A startup passcode (gesture, Touch ID, or Face ID) prevents unauthorized access—even if someone borrows your device. • System-Level Encryption: All stored data is encrypted using industry-standard algorithms to safeguard against unauthorized access. • iCloud Sync: Data syncs via iCloud with end-to-end encryption. Information is encrypted both in transit and at rest, and protected by security tokens. Only devices signed into your iCloud account can access your data—no one else, including Apple, can view your encrypted information.

This very simple application allows you to store photos, notes and passwords locally and only on your iPhone. No connection, servers, externals services or account are required. Your data remains only on your device. The photos taken are local to the application and do not mix with your iOS photo library. You can organize them with a small album feature. Access to your data is protected by Face or Touch ID. Such an app is handy if you want to save sensitive photos, such as a prescription, medicine card, ID, and being certain that they will only be on your device without syncing with iCloud. Passwords will be your identifiers like those used to login to Taxes government site, or your bank. Like photos, nothing is synchronized. User interface in English or French depending of your device.

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: iPass at 58% against Pocket Keys's 0%. iPass also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 27 months) and ratings volume (67 vs 5). Pocket Keys's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iPass sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Pocket Keys asks for nothing beyond the download.
Pocket Keys holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iPass has 67 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of iPass's written reviews are positive against 0% of Pocket Keys's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
iPass ships an update every 2 months, Pocket Keys every 27 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
