Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Monocular Enemy 2 at 4.7 against Fault's 3.9. Fault's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Monocular Enemy 2 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 94 and 143 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Fault's written reviews are positive against 73% of Monocular Enemy 2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
