When you purchase and use a Syncing and Backup plan, we collect and confirm your email address and we associate your email address with your encrypted data that we backup in the cloud so you can recover it when needed (only someone who knows your personal passphrase can ever access your RelyPass data). Your data is encrypted on your devices using your personal passphrase, and your data remains encrypted whenever it is transferred and stored for you in the RelyPass Cloud (should you purchase one of our optional plans). Without your passphrase, which you set, nobody else can access your data. Importantly, we do not know and cannot help you recover your personal passphrase should you forget it. We've tried to make it easy for you to create a strong passphrase that you can remember, and we offer you the recommended option of creating a 'password hint' to help yourself remember your passphrase should you forget it. We know that entering passwords (or passphrases in our case) can be very tedious so we also offer options for accessing your RelyPass secured data via fingerprint and face recognition on supported devices.
