The call

The clearest difference is rating: WORK at 4.8 against Hours Tracker's 4.4. WORK also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and ratings volume (78 vs 20). Hours Tracker's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks) and review sentiment (96% vs 86%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

WORK holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 78 and 20 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of WORK's written reviews are positive against 96% of Hours Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

WORK ships an update every 5 weeks, Hours Tracker weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
