ScripTalk Mobile vs GoVivid

ScripTalk Mobile by En-Vision America, Inc., allows iOS devices with Near Field Communication (NFC) capability to read ScripTalk Talking Labels. These special labels are adhesive RFID tags attached to medication containers by pharmacies participating in the ScriptAbility accessibility program. The patented ScripTalk system uses text-to-speech technology to provide the visually and reading-impaired with audible prescription information. Currently, there are many people that have difficulty reading or understanding the contents and instructions of their prescription medications. The GoVivid iOS app is a companion application to GoVivid's custom proprietary hardware. The hardware includes a handheld remote as well as a bluetooth head tracker. The GoVivid iOS application pairs to the Handheld using an ad-hoc hotspot generated by the Handheld. The iOS application pairs to the Head Tracker. The iOS app, Handheld, and Head Tracker all work together to empower the user with a number of auditory features. These features inform the user of their surroundings, all using spatialized audio, and each tailored for a different purpose. The "Room Scanner" feature informs the user the amount of space in the direction that they point the Handheld to. The "Floor Scanner" feature informs the user of any elevation in front of them through the use of spatialized clicks to denote height. The "CV Scanner" feature informs the user of what object is in the direction that they point the Handheld to. The" CV Search" feature informs the user of where an object is that they request.
