NoshiWrite
Read full descriptionHide full description
Need the formal Japanese inscription and your name written vertically for a gift? NoshiWrite lays out the occasion (omotegaki) and name in vertical Japanese Mincho type and gives you a print-ready PDF. Pick the occasion, type the name (one person per line for joint names), choose a paper size and tap Make Noshi PDF. Then print it, share it or save it to Files. • FIVE INSCRIPTIONS — 御祝 (celebration), 寿 (wedding), 御祝儀 (gift money), 内祝 (return gift) and 御霊前 (funeral). The inscription prints in red (gray for 御霊前), the name in black. • TRUE VERTICAL NAMES — set one character at a time in Hiragino Mincho. Add a line break for joint names (連名); columns run right to left. • OPTIONAL SMALL LINE — add a short horizontal line at the bottom, such as a company name. • THREE PAPER SIZES — Hagaki postcard (100 × 148 mm), A6 (105 × 148 mm) and square. • MIZUHIKI BY OCCASION — cords across the middle with the inscription above and the name below, as on a real envelope: a once-only 結び切り knot for 寿 and 御霊前 (black and gray), a bow (蝶結び) for 御祝, 御祝儀 and 内祝. Or switch it off. • PRINT, SHARE OR SAVE — AirPrint, share the PDF, or save it to Files; print at home or with a convenience-store print service. Honest scope: NoshiWrite makes a framed layout sheet — it does not position text for printing directly onto a ready-made gift envelope. The app is built for Japanese text. The PDF is made on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded and no account is needed. Try it free — 3 PDFs. A one-time $4.99 purchase unlocks unlimited PDFs. No subscription, no ads. Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: NoshiWrite at none against Focusi's shown. NoshiWrite also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 5 weeks). Focusi's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
