Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Monster Remote at 100% against Anker Nebula's 37%. Monster Remote also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 5 weeks) and rating (4.5 vs 4.3). Anker Nebula's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (2K vs 19). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Anker Nebula sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Monster Remote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Monster Remote holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anker Nebula has 2K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Anker Nebula ships an update every 5 weeks, Monster Remote every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
