Put your iPhone on a tripod behind the baseline and record yourself and your friends playing. While it records, Bdmntn works out when you are in a rally and when you are picking up the shuttle or resting, and splits the game into rallies. When you stop, you can watch only the time you were actually playing. RECORD • Pre-recording check: confirms the whole court, including the near baseline, is in frame, and shows camera height, battery, phone temperature and roughly how long you can record with the free space left • While recording: elapsed time, whether a rally is on, how many rallies so far, and a top-right minimap with the players' positions • Dim-screen mode to save power; press and hold to stop, so a stray tap won't end the recording • Rallies are ready as soon as you stop. The phone then analyzes the whole video once more and updates the shot counts and positions IMPORT • Import a match you already recorded from Photos (it also needs to be filmed from behind the baseline with the whole court in view) • Watch the rallies that are already split while the rest is still being analyzed REVIEW • Rallies only: skip pickups and breaks and watch one rally after another • Match timeline and rally list; tap to jump • Single rally: tap a shot and the video jumps to it; a top-down court shows where everyone was standing, who hit, where the shuttle came from and which zone it went to • Match stats: number of rallies, share of time actually playing, how long rallies lasted, the longest rally, and when you played the most EXPORT • Pick rallies (or just take the longest ones), join them into one video and save it to Photos • Optionally add the top-down minimap in the corner; exported videos carry the Bdmntn mark PRIVACY • All analysis happens on your iPhone. Videos are never uploaded. No account and no internet connection needed • Recordings are kept inside the app; deleting a match or the app deletes its video and results GOOD TO KNOW • Shot counts and positions are estimates and are always shown as "about N shots". A footwork movement may be counted as a shot, and a shot may be missed • Bdmntn does not identify shot types and does not measure shuttle speed • The camera must be behind the baseline with the whole court in frame. Videos where no court is found can still be played but are not split into rallies • Keep Bdmntn on screen while recording or analyzing. Switching to another app stops the recording (what was recorded is saved) and pauses analysis until you come back • Recording and analyzing at the same time uses a lot of battery; for long sessions use a power bank. One hour of recording takes about 5.5 GB • The app interface is currently in Traditional Chinese only
