A check-in, not a check-up. Yondi is a simple, private check-in for families moving past always-on location sharing. When you want to know someone is okay — without watching where they are all day — Yondi gives both of you something you can agree on. One person asks. The other answers in a tap. No map. No live tracking. HOW IT WORKS - Send a check-in with a response window you both agree on. - They get a notification and reply — "I'm OK" or "Can't talk right now" — right from the lock screen. - You see a clear answer. That's the whole exchange. THEY SET THE RULES IN ADVANCE The person being checked on controls everything in Safety Rules: - Which response windows are allowed - A daily limit on check-ins - Whether location is ever shared after a missed check-in The watcher can't override these rules and can't request location on demand. Nothing happens that wasn't set up in advance. LOCATION IS NEVER ON DEMAND Yondi has no live map and no background tracking. Location only ever comes into play as an optional, pre-approved fallback: if the person being checked on turns it on, and a check-in window closes with no response, Yondi shares their location once — after a warning and a cancel window, so they can stop it first. Their neighborhood is shared first; precise location is a separate opt-in. Precise coordinates are deleted from our servers after 24 hours. - No live tracking - No always-on location - No location on demand WHO IT'S FOR Yondi is for families at the transition point — older teens and college students ready to stop being passively monitored, and parents who still want a respectful way to know they're okay. It works best when both people choose it together. Yondi is not a parental-control app, a live-location service, or a panic button. For emergencies, always call 911. PRIVACY No ads. No data selling. No third-party analytics. Location is fully optional and only used if the checked-on person turns it on in advance. You can delete your account anytime from inside the app — Yondi then removes your sessions and device tokens, ends your relationships, clears stored location, and removes or anonymizes personal details like your phone number and name. Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Yondi Check at 5.0 against Subscribers Counter's 4.6. Subscribers Counter's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Yondi Check holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Subscribers Counter has 1.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
