Voortaan open je ondergrondse containers via jouw smartphone en WasteDrop. Tot nu kon je ondergrondse afvalcontainers enkel maar gebruiken met een badge of muntstukken. Bij onze nieuwste generatie van collectieve afvalcontainers met een toegangscontrolesysteem kan je vanaf nu ook afval aanbieden via de WasteDrop app. Afval deponeren wordt nog eenvoudiger. Via de interactieve kaart kan je gemakkelijk zien waar de dichtstbijzijnde afvalcontainer zich bevindt. Wanneer je met jouw afval aangekomen bent aan de container, kan je deze openen vanuit de app of door de QR-code te scannen. Eens jouw afval gestort is, krijg je in de app een overzicht van wanneer je afval gestort hebt en wat de kostprijs is. Wanneer WasteDrop gekoppeld is aan jouw Diftar-rekening zal de betaling automatisch afgehandeld worden. In volgende gemeentes kan je momenteel de WasteDrop app al gebruiken: Blankenberge (momenteel enkel beschikbaar voor inwoners, tweede verblijf, bedrijven en verenigingen) WasteDrop, een innovatieve toepassing van INOVIM en Ximmio, is de oplossing om afval aan te bieden en af te rekenen zonder een badge of toegangspas. Gedaan met toegangspassen te bedelen of een nieuwe pas aan te vragen omdat deze verloren/gestolen is of om terug naar huis te gaan omdat je de pas niet bij de hand had.
