SmallCircle Discipleship vs Foundry

SmallCircle is specifically designed to be a laser-focused, one-to-one discipleship experience, not a group study. The life-transforming power of SmallCircle comes through the relational depth achieved through this one-to-one dynamic. We avoid merely "learning" concepts that do not put principles into action. Each of the 24 chapters includes at least one "Lab" that brings the content to life through a felt experience. These Labs have proven extremely effective in driving home the focus of each chapter. SmallCircle follows a specific, sequential path. It begins by addressing broad, foundational spiritual concepts and then moves into the practical ways we live out our faith. Next, it transitions to a focus on our relationships with others and finishes with developing readiness to become a disciplemaker. SmallCircle includes a list of criteria for a disciplemaker but does not require extensive training. The material is simple to follow and easy to navigate, with a new content navigation feature that makes moving around within the app seamless. The content structure has also been reorganized for more productive sessions. SmallCircle emphasizes reaching a depth in relationships beyond what is typical in church culture. The app now features a completely redesigned, guided onboarding process for discipleship pairings, and a new discipleship family tree to visually track the progress of your relationships. Shared notes between disciple-maker and disciple enhance communication and preparation for sessions. The redesigned notes feature allows categorization into Talking Points, Prayers, Life Events, Action Steps, and more, further aiding preparation. SmallCircle not only focuses on making disciples but producing disciplemakers. The entire last Module prepares the disciple to become a disciplemaker. A new customizable dashboard, a Bible Reading Plan feature with included plans, a new Help system, and enhanced security features for those in persecuted countries round out the updates. Foundry is a Christian discipleship platform that brings together the two things spiritual growth has always needed: a clear path to follow, and someone to walk it with. Instead of leaving discipleship to scattered resources and good intentions, Foundry gives you a guided journey — a curriculum of tracks, categories, and lessons — and pairs you one-on-one with a mentor who knows you by name. It's structure and relationship in one place, designed to live on your phone and fit into everyday life. HOW IT WORKS • Walk a clear path — Move through a guided curriculum, organized into tracks, categories, and lessons, so you always know your next step. • Grow with a mentor — You're paired with a mentor who reviews your work, sends feedback, and stays connected through in-app messaging. • Reflect and apply — Capture journal entries, Bible reflections, and homework by text or voice note, and keep it all in one private place. BUILT FOR CHURCHES & MINISTRIES Foundry isn't just for individuals. Churches and ministries use it to run discipleship at scale — building their own curriculum, pairing mentors with the people they disciple, and walking with their community every step of the way. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your reflections are yours. Content stays private to you and the mentor or group you're connected with, protected by secure access controls. At its heart, Foundry exists to help people be formed — not just informed. Whether you're taking a first step of faith or helping others take theirs, Foundry makes discipleship intentional, personal, and lasting. Foundry requires an active subscription or a sponsored seat provided by your church or organization. Subscriptions are auto-renewing; payment is charged to your Apple ID and renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage in your App Store settings.
