Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Funny Voice Changer at 4.5 against AR Cockroach's 3.4. Funny Voice Changer also leads on ratings volume (2.3K vs 5) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). AR Cockroach's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 13) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Funny Voice Changer sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. AR Cockroach asks for nothing beyond the download.
Funny Voice Changer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Funny Voice Changer has 2.3K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of AR Cockroach's written reviews are positive against 71% of Funny Voice Changer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
AR Cockroach ships an update every 2 months, Funny Voice Changer every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
