Chartered May 14, 1924, Iron Workers Local 395 of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers Union, represents over 1,000 members including Journeymen, Apprentices, Honorary and Lifetime Members. Local 395 is a part of The Chicago and Vicinity District Council. Our members abide by the Ironworkers’ Standards of Excellence which reinforces the pride of every ironworker and our commitment to be the most productive and safest craft in the Building Trades. The statement, “We don’t go to the office, we build it” is a truism with Iron Workers Local 395 and The Northwest Indiana Contractors Association. Our goal is to exceed our customer’s satisfaction while building the best projects – Schools, Bridges, Office Buildings, Malls, Industrial and Steel Mills. We provide a Skilled, OSHA Trained, Drug-Free Workforce, as well as many other Certifications from a 4 year training program.
