Resus Room puts you in charge of the resuscitation room. The monitor runs across the top, the team is waiting, and the patient in the bed needs you now. Give your orders out loud or with a tap — "Start compressions", "Shock", "Epinephrine 1 milligram" — and the nurse answers, the rhythm changes, and the clock keeps running. Free to download. Fifteen cases are free. The Core Pack unlocks five more, on all your devices. New case packs will be offered separately. TWENTY EMERGENCIES, BUILT BY AN EMERGENCY PHYSICIAN Free: • Down on the casino floor — start here: CPR and the AED • Quiet at the pool — a child pulled from the water • Five first-aid cases: choking, an infant choking, anaphylaxis, an overdose and a bleeding cyclist • A witnessed collapse at the gym • Pulseless after a bedside procedure • Found unresponsive behind a bus shelter • Repeated collapse at home • Collapsed after a long flight home • Stabbed in the groin • Two days of noisy breathing, now barely rousable • A newborn limp at delivery The Core Pack, one purchase, adds five more: palpitations that turned into chest pain, palpitations out of nowhere, a head-on collision, a silent chest in a struggling five-year-old, and a non-vigorous newborn. Each case follows current resuscitation guidelines: shocks and drugs on the right schedule, reversible causes found and fixed, bleeding controlled first. The team holds you to it — a shock or a dose given too early gets "Not yet, doctor." A REAL ROOM • A monitor across the top of the screen: the ECG sweeping, heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen and capnography, with real alarms. It never names the rhythm for you — that is your call. • What matters right now, as four big buttons. In an arrest: Shock, CPR, Epinephrine and Airway. With a pulse: Monitor, 12-lead, Reassess and Call. After the pulse comes back, the post-arrest steps. Everything else is under Code, Meds, Labs, Imaging and Call. • X-rays, ECGs and ultrasound open in a window inside the room while the code goes on. They are real, reviewed studies, each credited to its source, and you read them yourself. • Step up to the bedside for a closer look at the patient. • In the trauma cases, ask for the primary survey and x A B C D E appears. Each letter opens its exam, orders and imaging. • The whole team speaks in natural voices. DECIDE, THEN SEND THE PATIENT ON Name your diagnosis, then choose where the patient goes. The consultants answer back: call cardiology too soon and they will ask what you are calling it; send a patient to the wrong place and the nurse or the consultant will push back until you choose a right one. SPEAK YOUR ORDERS Hold the mic and talk the way you would in a code. Your words are turned into text on the device. Prefer to tap or type? Every order has a button, and the order box takes typing. LEARN FROM EVERY RUN The debrief fits on one screen: your score out of 100 on one side, and on the other the summary, the checklist of critical actions — with why each missed step matters and the guideline behind it — every order on the code clock, and the clinical reasoning for the case. The attending reads you a short review. On devices with Apple Intelligence, ask the attending about your case. Then rate the case, if you like. ON IPHONE, IPAD AND MAC The Core Pack covers all of them. On iPhone Duo, open it like a book: the patient and the monitor on one page, your orders on the other. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No ads, and no account needed. Sign in with Apple only if you want your training log on all your devices, and delete the account any time. Nothing is sent unless you choose to: signing in, a rating, case logs to help improve the app, or your email address if you sign up to hear about new cases. For education and simulation practice only. Resus Room is not medical advice, is not a certification, and must not be used for decisions about real patients. The patients are fictional.

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Resus Room at 100% against SIMVS Student's 50%. Resus Room also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.2) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 5 months). SIMVS Student's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price and ads there is nothing between them.
