Under the date you get the day's reading: the nakshatra and the rashi, in English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, or Malayalam. Tap it for the whole day. The Vedic reading gives every star the Moon passes and when it changes, the tithi, yoga, and karana, sunrise and moonrise, and the windows an almanac is kept for: Rahu Kalam, Yamagandam, Gulika Kalam, and Abhijit Muhurta. The Western reading gives the Moon's placement and degree, the ascendant and midheaven, the current lunation and the next phase, and the void-of-course Moon. FOR NIGHT AND LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHERS Plan blue hour, golden hour, and full-moon shoots down to the minute. Scrub the date, switch to the location you are shooting from, and see exactly when the light and the moon will land. FOR ASTRONOMERS AND STARGAZERS Find dark-sky windows around the new moon, time eclipses to your coordinates, and track the next supermoon, blood moon, or harvest moon with rise and set data computed for your exact position. FOR GARDENERS, ANGLERS, AND LUNAR PLANNERS Plant by the moon, schedule trips on the right phase, or align routines and observances with the cycle. Every phase, every day, in one place. FOR TRAVELERS Save your home, your destination, and everywhere in between. Times adjust automatically for the location you are viewing, with full time zone and daylight saving handling. No math, no guesswork. WIDGETS AND IPAD Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets keep the moon one glance away. On iPad the calendar, the compass, and the daily reading share the screen, in either orientation. BUILT TO BE EXACT Positions come from standard astronomical algorithms, with the Lahiri ayanamsa for sidereal work. Sunrise, tithi, and nakshatra are computed for your own coordinates, the way a local almanac reckons them, not copied from a fixed table. Download Moon Calendar Plus and start planning by moonlight.
