Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ScooterDash at 100% against Digital Speed GPS Speedometer's 61%. ScooterDash also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 13) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). Digital Speed GPS Speedometer's advantage is ratings volume (6K vs 5) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Digital Speed GPS Speedometer sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. ScooterDash asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Digital Speed GPS Speedometer holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Digital Speed GPS Speedometer has 6K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Digital Speed GPS Speedometer's written reviews are positive against 100% of ScooterDash's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Digital Speed GPS Speedometer ships an update every 3 weeks, ScooterDash every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
