Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: DC Audio at none against Summit Racing's shown. DC Audio also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (95% vs 76%). Summit Racing's advantage is ratings volume (65K vs 724) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Summit Racing against 4.9 for DC Audio. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Summit Racing has 65K ratings behind it against 724, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 76% of Summit Racing's written reviews are positive against 95% of DC Audio's.
Summit Racing ships an update every 2 months, DC Audio every 5 months. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
