Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Beerhive at 100% against Fermentis's 16%. Beerhive also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.1). Fermentis's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (14 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
