The ball spins one way and the walls spin the other. You have one tap to get it through. Tap and the ball flies wherever its arrow points. Thread it through a gap and off the screen to score. Touch a wall and the run is over. PLAY TO THE BEAT The walls move with the music. They tick, surge and swing in time, and a shot fired right on the beat scores extra. Find the rhythm and the game starts to feel like a song you're playing. STREAKS THAT STACK Send the ball through the dead center of a gap and keep doing it. Every clean shot in a row is worth more than the last. Miss once and the streak resets, so the pressure builds with every tap. BONUS SHOTS Now and then a gap glows gold. Get the ball through it for a big bonus. NEVER THE SAME RUN TWICE The first levels each teach you one trick. After that, every stage is built fresh from all of them: rings that turn against each other, gaps that tighten, walls that won't sit still. DAILY CHALLENGE A new challenge every day, the same one for everybody. Finish it for extra tickets. UNLOCK NEW LOOKS Every run earns you tickets, arcade style. Trade them for new balls and color themes, each with its own personality, and every ball leaves its own trail. Some can't be bought at all. You have to earn them. GAME CENTER A leaderboard and achievements to chase. ALSO - Original music, sound effects and haptics, each with its own switch. - iPhone and iPad, plus a quick version on Apple Watch and stickers for iMessage. - Plays offline. No account needed; your progress stays on your device. ADS AND PURCHASES Ball Shooter is free and has ads, but never in the middle of a run. Video ads only play when you choose one, to keep going after a crash. Remove Ads is a one-time purchase that turns the rest off for good. Ticket packs are there if you want to skip ahead, but you can earn every prize by playing.

Elementex is a tactical tower-defense run. No worlds to grind. No campaign to crawl. One hex arena, one shot at the leaderboard, and every decision counts. Build between waves. Place towers on hex tiles. Bend the path with free walls. Tap a tower mid-wave to fire its skill. Lives reach zero, the run ends, and your best wave is the only number that matters. Fire beats Frost. Frost beats Nature. Nature beats Lightning. Lightning beats Fire. Hit a weakness for 1.5x damage. Hit a resistance for 0.7x. Read the wave, pick the counter, or pay for it. Every upgrade is bought with in-run gold. One tower per element — push its damage, its fire rate, or its range, each on a rising cost curve. No blueprints. No permanent unlocks to grind. Your build is what you can pay for, this run, right now. Every fifth wave is a boss. The boss drops a chest of three runes. You see every drop, every stat, every price, before you spend a single gem. Whatever you do not keep goes into the Recall Pool for seven days at +25 percent. Nothing disappears. Nothing is hidden. Runes you keep persist across runs. Combine two of the same rarity to climb to the next. Five rarities: Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic. Mythic is boss-chest only and carries a unique passive skill. An element-matched rune on its tower hits 20 percent harder. There is no end state. There is only the next wave, the global leaderboard, and how far you can hold the line. • Hex-grid tower defense with maze-builder pathing • Four elements, one rock-paper-scissors wheel (1.5x / 0.7x matchups) • One tower per element, upgraded along +DMG / +RATE / +RANGE with in-run gold • A defining passive and a tap-to-cast active skill on every element • Boss chests every five waves, transparent gem pricing, seven-day Recall Pool • A global leaderboard, one endless mode, three- to seven-minute runs • No loot boxes. No energy. No timers. No paid randomness.

Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Elementex at every 3 weeks against Ball Shooter Game's every 6 months. Elementex also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Ball Shooter Game's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ball Shooter Game sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Elementex sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Ball Shooter Game against 5.0 for Elementex. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ball Shooter Game has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
Ball Shooter Game ships an update every 6 months, Elementex every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
