Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Turtle Wrapper at 77% against ScreenCase's 30%. Turtle Wrapper also leads on ratings volume (21 vs 5) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.6). ScreenCase's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Turtle Wrapper sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ScreenCase sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
ScreenCase holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 21 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Turtle Wrapper's written reviews are positive against 30% of ScreenCase's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Turtle Wrapper ships an update every 7 months, ScreenCase every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
