MDS Foundation, Inc. vs MedFlight

The Myelodysplastic Syndromes Foundation was established by an international group of physicians and researchers to provide an ongoing exchange of information relating to MDS. In response to the needs expressed by patients, families, and healthcare professionals, Mds Foundation have established patient advocacy groups, research funding, and professional educational initiatives. The MDS Foundation is a publicly supported organization, exempt from federal income tax under section 501(C)(3) of the IRS code. A major Foundation effort is our international information network. This network provides patients with referrals to Centers of Excellence, contact names for available clinical trials, sharing of new research and treatment options between physicians, and extension of educational support to physicians, nurses, pharmacists and patients. This app provides quick access to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers, to the important services that the MDS Foundation provides. These include our Worldwide Centers of Excellence, Upcoming Patient Forums and Events, and our numerous online resources.

MedFlight of Ohio Basic App Features: - Activating MedFlight Request for Dispatch - MedFlight Helicopter Tracking & Geocoding - Push Notifications Regrading Medical Transport - Hospital Directory by Search Name - Landing Zone Safety Guide MedFlight’s App is a convenient, easy to use medical helicopter request tool that allows medical professionals to quickly launch a helicopter for critically ill or injured patients. The user’s info and GPS info is incorporated into the transport request for a seamless experience saving valuable time. First responders and hospitals can see details of the transport including a map and countdown clock regarding helicopter arrival during any part of the transport. Hospitals can login and make a fight request at any clerk or nurses station. Once the helicopter is on the way, all users can see the aircraft in real time and communicate to the dispatch center and crew via the app. Note: Registration is required for all users. Once registered, users can access basic app functions. Only approved users will have access to advanced features, including the ability to launch an air medical helicopter.
