WaySync vs PedApp

WaySync-M, which is the short for WaySync-Mobile, is a mobile tool for real-time diagnosis and performance evaluation of traffic signal timing plans. It enables users to develop virtual signal controllers on their mobile devices, which run the same timing plans as that running in the field. Together with its advanced features of geo-referencing and dynamic time-space diagram, it allows users to easily diagnose common issues with actuated coordinated signals, such as phase early return, transition, clock drifting, and erroneous offset inputs. It can be used as a supplemental tool for better timing coordinated traffic signals. The Polara PedApp is for all pedestrians to wirelessly push/actuate/place a pedestrian call/walk request. Compatible with Polara iNS Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS). Enhanced features for visually impaired pedestrians include identification and location of APS. When activated App will alert pedestrian of nearby APS crossing and allow user to choose desired crossing. Corresponding APS's locate tone will increase in volume and APS will receive a push/actuation signal from the App to place a pedestrian call/walk request. The App can provide audible indications for Walk, Don't Walk, Pedestrian Clearance (including audible countdown if desired) phases.
